Proud supplier to the Australian Invictus Games Indoor Rowing Team

The word ‘Invictus’ means unconquered. It embodies the fighting spirit of injured Service personnel and personifies what can be achieved post injury.

The Games mission is much more than sport. It serves to harness the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a better understanding for those who serve our country. With a focus on personal recovery, rather than medals, the Invictus Games is a life-changing experience for competitors during the event, but importantly when they return home.

Last week marked the closing of the 2022 Invictus Games. These athletes showed us sportsmanship, bravery and world class athletic performance. They reminded us of the true power of sport.

In 2018 we spoke with Australian Invictus Games representative and Gold Medallist at the 2018 Sydney Games Ben Faranazzo about what the experience of competing at the Invictus Games meant for him.

“I feel very privileged to have been selected to represent our nation to compete on the global stage alongside so many wonderful people at Invictus Games Sydney 2018. It is an honour that I never thought was possible at this time in my life. I could never have imagined this experience happening, especially after encountering so many obstacles over recent years. Standing on the podium is a testament to all those that have given their time, love and support to help me and my family in our time of need. I recognise that there are many people in our community that are challenged on a daily basis with physical and mental wounds and illness. My heart and prayers go out to everyone and I hope that we as Australians can continue to shine a light on those in need, and rally together to improve to quality of people’s lives. Congratulations to Ben and all the athletes that competed at the Invictus Games, your strength and unconquerable attitude have inspired us all.”
